About the author: Angel had a big imagination growing up, and creativity was her outlet. Her favorite toy was the giant cardboard box.
After teaching Pre-K Head Start for two years, she had a vision to make a bigger impact outside her classroom walls. She struggled to find her place in the professional world but found joy in creating children's books for fun while thinking of her former students.
She's also convinced that children's books are just as important to shaping culture as TV, movies, and music, because representation matters across all mediums.
