During a period of creation, Kissi was deeply fascinated by portraying and understanding the connections between people. This painting embodies love, intimacy, and a bond of a couple so powerful that it merges into one over time.
About the artist:
Kissi Ussuki is a freelance illustrator based in Vilnius, Lithuania. She likes to draw faces, hands and other body parts, and she likes surreal and absurd compositions. Especially if they are pink. Aside from drawing and painting, she is also a photographer, art director and graphic designer.
Her creative process is deeply influenced by a fascination with human flaws and the rejection of conventional beauty standards. Ussuki finds inspiration in the unique and often overlooked aspects of individuals, which she considers much more interesting than traditional notions of beauty. This perspective is evident in her work, which often features characters with exaggerated, unconventional features, imbued with a sense of humor and an appreciation for the absurd.
